Requirements for a Belgium Tourist Visa Application

Please note that visas for the following nationals take a minimum of 15 working days Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarussia, Burundi, Congo(DRC), Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Indonesia, Iran , Iraq, Jordan, Kazakstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, N. Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Refugees, Saudi Arabia, Stateless, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen + Palestinian Authority, Vietnam

For all other nationalities please see the requirements below:

  • Passport and UK visa that meets requirements set by the Embassy of Belgium in London [Explained]
  • UK visa MUST be valid for at least 3 months upon return from your trip to Belgium. The Embassy is no longer issuing visas within the last three months of your UK visa even if you have a ticket back to your home country
  • Proof of Fully Paid Travel. [Explained]
  • Important Notice - If travelling by CAR/VEHICLE (unless it is a coach tour) we are unable to help with your application

  • Proof of Accommodation in Belgium (This must come directly from the hotel in Belgium)[Explained]
  • Original Bank Statement [Explained]
  • Employment or College Letter [Explained]
  • Last Three Payslips
  • Travel Insurance (valid in Belgium)*
  • 3 Colour Passport Photographs**
  • Complete and sign the Belgium Visa application form [Download form 2]
  • Complete and sign the "The Schengen Office Case Sheet" and "The Schengen Office Terms and Conditions" [Download form 3]
  • Schengen Office Handling Fee + Embassy Fee [See below]

*Note: If applying for multi-entry visa Annual Travel Insurance is required. Having annual insurance does not guarantee a multi-entry visa however it is a requirement to qualify to apply for a multi-entry visa.
**Note:White background only (cream and light blue backgrounds are not accepted by the Embassy), shoulders must be in the photograph.

Marriage Certificates/Birth Certificates that require translations HAVE TO BE notarised by the Embassyof the persons nationality.

Schengen Office fee £65

Total Cost to process the visa through The Schengen Office is currently: £143.55*
