Requirements for a French Business Visa Application

A booking is required - Please contact the office before submitting your application. Applications sent in without prior confirmation with the office may result in your application being returned uncompleted.

The following national must apply in person for their French Visas: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Indonesia, Iran , Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Myanmar (BURMA), Nigeria, N. Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Travel Document holders, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe

Please note that UK Visas have to be stamped in your passport - Home Office Letters with the UK visa stamp are not accepted by the embassy.

  • Letter from your employer explaining nature and duration of your business trip to France.
  • Last Three Payslips
  • Letter of invitation from the host company in France
  • Passport that meets requirements set by the Embassy of France in London [Explained]
  • UK visa MUST be valid for at least 3 months upon return from your trip to France. The Embassy is no longer issuing visas within the last three months of your UK visa even if you have a ticket back to your home country
  • Proof of Fully Paid Travel. [Explained]
  • Important Notice - Please note if you are travelling by CAR/Vehicle (unless it is a coach tour) we are unable to help with your visa application

  • Proof of Accommodation in France [Explained]
  • Bank Statement* [Explained]
  • Travel Insurance including Repatriation Clause details from Policy Booklet (valid in France)**
  • ALL APPLICANTS Complete and Sign Assurance Visa Circulation Document [Download]
  • 3 Colour Passport Photographs***
  • ALL Applicants Complete and Sign Assurance Visa Document [Download form 1]
  • Complete and sign the French Visa application form [Download form 2]
  • Complete and sign the "The Schengen Office Case Sheet" and "The Schengen Office Terms and Conditions" [Download form 3]
  • Schengen Office Handling Fee + Embassy Fee [See below]

*Note: When appyling for multi-entry business visa the embassy wants to check you have sufficient funds to travel as a tourist (if a multi-entry Schengen visa is issued).
**Note: If applying for multi-entry visa Annual Travel Insurance is required. Having annual insurance does not guarantee a multi-entry visa however it is a requirement to qualify to apply for a multi-entry visa.
***Note: White background only (cream and light blue backgrounds are not accepted by the Embassy), shoulders must be in the photograph.

French "Business Visa" Fees:

Official Schengen visa fee is: EUR60.00 approx £48

Schengen Office fee is £94.00

Total Cost through The Schengen Office is : £142.00* (subject to change due to flucations in the Euro)

*Note: Includes EUR60 Embassy fee
