Requirements for a Swiss Business Visa Application

The following nationals must apply in person for their Swiss Visas Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Burundi, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran , Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, N. Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Travel Document holders, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe

For all other nationalities please see the requirements below

  • Passport that meets requirements set by the Embassy of Switzerland in London [Explained]
  • UK visa must be valid for at least 3 months upon return from your trip to Switzerland.The Embassy is no longer issuing visas within the last three months of your UK visa even if you have a ticket back to your home country.
  • One full blank page in passprot for visa
  • Proof of Fully Paid Travel. [Explained]
  • Important Notice - Please note if you are travelling by CAR/Vehicle (unless it is a coach tour) we are unable to help with your visa application

  • Proof of Accommodation in Switzerland[Explained]
  • Bank Statement* [Explained]
  • Employment letter[Explained]
  • Letter of invitation from the host company in Switzerland
  • Last Three Payslips
  • Travel Insurance (valid in Switzerland)**
  • 3 Colour Passport Photographs***
  • Complete and sign the Swiss Visa application form [Download]
  • Complete and sign the "The Schengen Office Case Sheet" and "The Schengen Office Terms and Conditions" [Download]
  • Schengen Office Handling Fee + Embassy Fee [See below]

*Note: When appyling for multi-entry business visa the embassy wants to check you have sufficient funds to travel as a tourist (if a multi-entry Schengen visa is issued).
**Note: If applying for multi-entry visa Annual Travel Insurance is required. Having annual insurance does not guarantee a multi-entry visa however it is a requirement to qualify to apply for a multi-entry visa.
***Note: White background only (cream and light blue backgrounds are not accepted by the Embassy), shoulders must be in the photograph.

Official Schengen visa fee is: £78.55

Schengen Office fee £65 incl vat
Total Cost to process the visa through The Schengen Office is currently: £143.55*
